Reason 1 - Thanking The Parents

Mother of the Bride.

The Mother of the Bride goes the extra distance and is there by your side from the proposal right through to waving goodbye when you are leaving for the honeymoon. You might not always agree on all the wedding planning and preparations, but no-one else has had your back quite the way your mother has. For that, she deserves a big thank you and your mother should be the first parent you thank for making the big day possible.

Father of the Bride.

Next, you will want to thank your father for being your rock and his help and contributions to the wedding day.

The Groom's Parents.

Lastly, it is a lovely touch to thank the Groom's parents. Many might argue that this is not neccessary - however it goes a long way to smooth over any friction experienced during the wedding planning and gives you the opportunity to start your marriage on the good side of the parents-in-law.

Reason 2 - Show The Wedding Guests Appreciation

Wedding Guest Who Have Travelled.

Many of the Wedding Guests have travelled distance to attend the Wedding. It is a fantastic gesture to thank all of the Wedding Guests that have travelled, especially those who have come from another state or country.

Thank The Family Elders.

Make a point of thanking the family elders for attending. The family elders such as grandparents, great Aunt's and Uncles will be delighted that you have taken the time to consider them.

Wedding Gifts And Well Wishes.

Thank all of the Wedding Guests for their well wishes and also include a thank you for the wonderful and thoughtful gifts you and the Groom have been given.

It is important that you acknowledge not only the help these wonderful women have given during the lead up to the big day but also for the friendship you share.

Reason 4 - The Best Man And Groomsmen

The Best Man and the Groomsmen have help the Groom with the Wedding, attended suit fittings and have helped him get to the ceremony on time.

Even if you don't agree with the activities and the antics of the Bachelor Party now is the time to bury the hatchet. The Best Man and Groomsmen have the Groom by your side and will share important moments with you and the Groom in the coming years.

You don't have to spend much time thanking the Best Man and Groomsmen. To acknowledge them and give a brief thank you is enough.

You should keep at least a minute of your Bride Speech for the most important person - The Groom.
